Biography

I have been leading drum circles for over 15 years. I retired in 2018 and set up an LLC and carry liability insurance.
2022, April edition, co-authored a 4 page article for PAS, "Group Drumming with Senior Citizens.

I have a music background having played percussion since 5th grade. I have instructed middle school and high school percussion. I do a drum/music program primarily with dementia and Alzheimer's adults and special needs children. I work with all ages.

An opportunity to be a part of a group or community. To play, laugh, be in the moment, express yourself and just have fun.

Facilitation/Drum Circle Image

Target Populations

Smaller groups of 30 people or less. Working primarily with senior citizens with dementia and alzheimers. These are drum/music programs due to the age, cognitive abilities, mental capacity and physical issues. This program includes some history, songs and special instruments.
Also work with special needs kids and some adults. The abilities vary considerably.
I enjoy working with kids and adults of all ages.

Regular Drum Circles

All of the community walks are done as a volunteer.
Since 2010, lead a drum circle for a local breast cancer walk, NAMI walk and Alzheimer's. I advertise, make arrangements with the hospital that sponsors the walk and supply drums. People join in and play as much as they want.

I work with a special needs day camp where the kids and their parents have an opportunity to participate as a family.
I work with church, youth groups and other community events.
