Nellie Hill, Playful Spirit Adventures, is Remo endorsed professional Drum Circle Facilitator and certified Life Coach. She earned her MA in Music Education from the University of Maryland, with post-graduate studies at Duquesne and Villanova. She is a retired Music educator, having taught in both Elementary and Secondary schools.Her extensive facilitator training includes VMC certification, DCFG accreditation, HealthRhythms. She served many years as a teaching assistant for Will Schmid for his World Music Drumming Workshops. Nellie was also the facilitator for the opening of the National Music Center in Washington, DC, the MENC National Conference. and the Mid Atlantic Music Therapy Conference.She is the co-author, along with Arthur Hull, of the "Drum Circle Facilitators Handbook", which is now published in three languages.
Nellie Hill is an active member of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild. She has held several positions on the Board of Directors, including President. Currently she serves as an Advisor and Administrator.
Rhythm is the driving force of life. Circles come in many forms; circles for reflection, for healing, for community, for leadership, but most importantly for enjoyment. My mission is to enable people of all ages to find their inner rhythm and enjoy it!

Target Populations
Nellie works with populations from early childhood to seniors. An experience educator willing to do school residencies specializing in multiculturalism, STEAM, and core curriculum. Also I enjoy working with special needs populations, both mental and physical.
I am Health Rhythms trained including the Adolescent protocol and love working with this age group.
Regular Drum Circles
Open community circles. All ages and levels of experience verey welcome.

1st Tuesday of every month, Owen Brown Interfaith Center, Columbia, Md 7 - 8:30 pm

3rd Sunday of every month at Music and Arts in Ellicott City, All ages very welcome
5:30-6:30 pm
