Dr. Craig Woodson presents THREE 26-hour workshops, two in June and one in July. Each one is intended for music teachers but others are welcome. No special skills in each subject are required. Each session will be tailored to the needs of attendees and includes how to work with socially and physically challenged students. Take one, two or all three workshops! This workshop is: Drum Set Workshop. How to play beginning drum set, with special attention to styles of jazz, Latin, and rock that include ride beats, fills and solos. We will use a simple box notation and standard kit notation and discuss set up, tuning and publications. Teachers will be able to give instruction using basic drum set techniques needed at her or his specific grade level.
